Well, I am the first to say that I never anointed myself that title. It was bestowed on me by my youngest son, Jacob. After giving him a tour of the butter plant, he looked at the machinery on the production lines and said "Dad, this is a butter kingdom therefore that makes you the King of Butter". I smiled at him and realized it was a kingdom indeed, one of specialty butter products. In my kingdom, we love all things butter.
In my thirty years in the food industry, I started as a dishwasher, then as a chef cooking for President George Bush and Vice President Dan Quayle before I ventured into catering Oscar receptions, weddings, religious events and the like. However, my love of butter was unsurpassed, and Butter Emporium was born.
I am the inventor of the ONLY shelf stable clarified butter. As a result, I was awarded the Horizon award for this innovative product. The strict high standards of sanitation and product wholesomeness were recognized by the industry again when I was awarded the prestigious Top 100 vendor award by Sysco Foods for four consecutive years. I am also credited by the dairy industry professionals as the Butter Guru.
